HUMAN body charging station
By individually scanning each muscle separately we are able to determine the specific composition of each muscle in relation to the group of muscles surrounding it. Muscles work together to produce movement and when one muscle needs help the neurological commands are sent to the other muscles for help. Training or exercise can often overload one muscle more that its supporting muscles leading to an imbalance which can cause an injury.
Why would you do this test? Muscle density scans are similar to body composition scans except the scanner is isolated directly over a single muscle in the athletes body to more accurately determine the muscle density and quality along with the percentage of fat surrounding the muscle. Muscle density scans help to determine precisely the muscle quality for each muscle or part of muscle. For example the quad is made up of two parts, the inner quad and the outer quad.
Who is this test recommended for? Muscle density scans are recommended for all customers and athletes of all ages regardless of the sport they play or their current exercise regiment.
How often should you repeat this test? We recommend that muscle density scans be performed every 2-4 months depending on training or if your recovering from an injury.
Which body parts are or can be tested? Muscle density scans can be performed on every muscle in an athletes body.
What are the results of this test? A muscle density scan is scored between 0-100 with 100 being the best. Athletes in top shape will score between 60-80 percent muscle density.
What does this help to improve? By testing and tracking muscle density athletes are able to more accurately determine if their current training regiments are netting the results in their bodies they are striving for.
